Management Accounts, Bookkeeping and Payroll Services

We provide a complete accounts, bookkeeping and payroll service so you can concentrate on running your business. Our clients are based throughout Oakham, Rutland and Stamford, and the wider Leicestershire and Lincolnshire area; we also have clients in London. We are ICB Certified, a member of the Sage Accountants Club and have full professional indemnity insurance cover.

Virtual PA Services

We can keep you organised and run your office from afar – we’re just at the end of a phone or computer if you need us. Due to the flexibility of working online and with the secure cloud-based systems that we use, there is no restriction to the location of our clients.

Transcription Services

We provide a fast, accurate and efficient service, having a diverse range of clients, including medical consultants, expert witnesses, the insurance and legal sectors and university students. Again, our clients are based throughout the UK and further afield. We can accommodate all formats of digital dictation systems.

Bookkeeping and Accounts

We can take the pressure off you by taking control of your bookkeeping and accounting records. You can either drop your papers in to us and/or send them over to us remotely, or we can arrange to pick them up at your offices. We can then do everything else for you, including filing and storing of paperwork if required.

Based in Oakham, Rutland, we cater for the Rutland area, Stamford and throughout Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. We are more than happy to travel to you to pick up papers and discuss the accounts with you as and when you need us to.

We use a secure cloud-based system so you will be able to access your finance reports whenever you need to. We back up all data, securely, on a daily basis so all your records will be safe with us.

Our bookkeeping and accounts services include:

Sales and Purchase Ledger

Inputting all invoices and payments onto sage and providing monthly reports for aged creditors and debtors so you can see outstanding balances, enabling you to keep track of your cash flow.

Credit Control

We can provide statements, email them to your customers and chase payment.

Bank Reconciliation

We will ensure that all transactions are up-to-date, providing you with a true picture of your business’s financial position.

Maintaining Fixed Asset Register

We can keep a record of your fixed assets and calculate depreciation on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis, depending on your requirements.

Management Accounts

We will provide an up-to-date profit and loss and balance sheet, along with any other reports required, as often as you need them.

VAT Returns

We can complete VAT returns on a quarterly or monthly basis, as required, and submit on your behalf to HMRC.

CIS

We can complete your monthly returns and submit to HMRC.

Bookkeeping to Trial Balance

For Limited Companies we will ensure all transactions are complete and accurate prior to submitting accounts to your accountant at year end, so reducing the work required from your accountant.

Preparation of Final Accounts

For Sole Traders, partnerships and not-for-profit organisations – No need to pay excessive fees for an accountant when we can complete your yearend accounts and make the necessary adjustments for you.

Payroll

With Real Time Information now in force and Pensions Automatic Enrolment, payroll is not as simple as it used to be. We can carry out all aspects of payroll to comply with HMRC legislation, providing weekly or monthly payslips and reports as required.

We are ICB Certified and a member of the Sage Accountants Club. We have full professional indemnity insurance cover.  We use Sage Accounts, but we can accommodate other accountancy software where required. We will be more than happy to discuss the options with you.

We can also analyse any data requested and produce Excel spreadsheets with all financial details to suit your requirements.  We have a close working relationship with accountants both locally and in London, so if any additional accountancy advice or services are required, we can help with that too.

Secretarial and Transcription

Virtual PA Services/Office Management

We can provide a full PA service remotely from our office, so there is no need for you to provide office space and equipment for staff. We have a variety of clients all over the UK proving that with internet and cloud-based systems available today, there is no need to be in the same place as your admin staff.

Our PA and Office Management services include diary management, arranging travel, liaising with customers/suppliers, general correspondence, invoicing, managing systems and procedures, dealing with staffing/customer issues – basically anything required to allow your business to run smoothly.

Transcription Services

We provide an audio transcription service to a wide range of business areas, including medical consultants, expert witnesses, the insurance sector, legal sector, media, universities and the education sector.

Our work includes confidential reports, general correspondence, focus groups and interviews. We can transcribe from all digital formats and can convert audio from DVDs and CDs to a workable format.

We can usually cater for urgent work and fast turnaround times. We will discuss your needs with you and give you a realistic and honest estimate of completion of work.

We can use one of your templates, or use one of our own. In the case of interviews/focus groups etc, we will confirm with you if you require true verbatim or intelligent verbatim.

Secretarial/Typing Services

Meet the team.

We are a small company based in Oakham, Rutland, providing all aspects of bookkeeping and accounts, PA/secretarial support and transcription services, where we provide an all-in-one service to small businesses, large organisations, students and individuals. We provide virtual PA and transcription services throughout the UK, but also provide a more local service for general secretarial/typing services and bookkeeping and accounts services in the Oakham, Stamford and wider Rutland, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire areas.
Juliet

Juliet started her career working in the MOD, progressing to personal secretary in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and then onto PA for the Director of Royal Mail Anglia. She initially set up JAM Secretarial Services in 2002 and at the same time gained bookkeeping and accounts experience with a local accountant. She went on to pass with distinction the ICB Level III Certificate in Bookkeeping and Accounts and is now an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and a member of the Sage Accountants Club. Juliet’s speciality is in Sage Accounts, in which she has gained extensive knowledge.

Katherine

Katherine has a secretarial and PA background and was the PA at Ruddles Brewery in Langham, Rutland. Along with extensive experience in general office administration and management, she is our expert transcriptionist, where she has an impressive typing speed and accuracy, with an eye for detail. She is also fluent in French and German, which has actually come in handy at work!

Karen

Karen is our administrator, who also currently manages a local preschool nursery, so a very busy lady! She also has a PA background, originally based in Dubai, and is in charge of secretarial and administration. She is a stickler for organisation and provides a first class all round administrative service.
